I ordered six candles as Christmas gifts last night to wake up to an email that the order has been canceled. It would be best if they could keep their site updated of what is in stock to not give false hope, and have you go through the ordering process just to find out you'll never receive them.
I ordered over $150 in products that I didn't receive. I emailed customer care requesting a refund and they took a long time to respond. They still haven't issued my refund but decided to close my file and decided the matter was taken care of satisfactorily. By not issuing my requested refund? The products were bought in Feb. And it's now May. Repeated follow up emails have gone ignored. Don't give this company your money; you may not get your product or your money back!

Yankee candle customer service is horrible. My orders were split up and never received. I asked to speak with a management several times and was advised that the Supervisor was busy. Wow unbelievable.
I visited their site because I received an email promotion for a sale. Ordered in stock items. Received an email later stating my order was canceled due to items being out of stock twice. They canceled the order but still took money from my account! Horrible customers experience since they left Bed Bath and Behind!
Two years ago, I called customer support, who lied to me about my points and promised I'd hear back.
I never heard back.
I stopped shopping there, and all of the stores in the area shut down besides one.
Yesterday, I had a coupon, and certain candles were on clearance online. The large ones were $17.70. I was planning on spending $108-$120. I went to check out, and the four large ones changed to $20. A small one changed from $8.50 to $10.
I went back to the product page. Still $17.70. I tried 4 or 5 times. Last try was 4 am. (Insomnia)
The next morning, I contacted customer service via the web chat. "Krzysztof" asked for screenshots. First, they tried to tell me that it was a glitch and the price was $20. Then they changed their story and admitted that the price was yesterday's clearance price, and they RAISED the prices for their big Semiannual sale. So they lied. I told them again that I tried to buy while it was still on sale (oddly enough it was only on sale before their big sale), and the website had an error.
They insisted that the new price was a great price, and they couldn't help me.
As long as Yankee keeps treating their customers like trash, and outsourcing customer support, they'll keep losing customers and closing stores. Say what you will about Bath & Body, they would have resolved this issue with a $10 credit. Yankee lost $100+, and they also lost a customer that was willing to give them a second chance. I'll be spreading the word about this experience
Ordered five ScentPlugs after chatting with Yankee's rep. She told me which ones would be lighter scents, not so heavy. Received email stating they had shipped. Tracking number was bogus. Contacted them FOUR times trying to get a correct tracking number but only got put off. My ScentPlugs finally arrived in a HUGE box with tons of paper filler. Ridiculous and wasteful. Two of the items were leaking all over inside the additional bubble wrap -- the tops had not been tightened. Only 2 of the 5 were lightly scented. The other 3 smelled strong and nothing like their name descriptions. The Coconut Beach smelled like burned coconut cookies. The Pineapple was not recognizable. What lousy products, lousy shipping department and appalling customer service. Will never order from them again and advise others not to waste their money. To top things off, they won't let me leave any reviews on my verified purchases. So what does THAT tell you about the esteemed Yankee Candle Company?
You never go wrong with Yankee candles. Exceptional products and lots of varieties.
I had an order quadrupled due to a checkout glitch. When notified, they said I had to wait to receive the items and then return 3/4 of the order for a refund. The return was received 3/2 and it is now 4/6 and I have yet to see a refund. It's enough money to matter. I have contacted customer service multiple times and I get promises but nothing happens. I can't even get connected to a supervisor despite insisting. The phone mysteriously drops the call at that point. I'm resorting to leaving negative reviews in the hopes that gets some attention.
The scents are great, and customer service for trivial issues has been fine. But I've just had the worst customer service EVER. A large order was quadrupled due to a glitch at checkout. I noticed them as soon as I saw what had happened, and was instructed to return the items I didn't want. The order was received by the warehouse on March 3. It is now April 6 and I have yet to see a refund. I have contacted customer service multiple times and I keep getting promises, but no refund. I can't even get connected to a supervisor by a customer service agent. So now I'm leaving negative reviews in hopes that gets their attention.
We SPLURGED and bought some of the Yankee Candles (the bigger ones in glass containers) and have been very disappointed. There isn't much fragrance to be detected as they burn and the wax builds up around the outside that doesn't melt. We're going back to the 'off brands'.
I COLLECT VOLTIVE CANDLE HOLDERS AS A HOBBY. I PURCHASED A SHAMROCK CANDLE HOLDER THAT I THOUGHT WOULD BE A GOOD ADDITION TO MY COLLECTION. BOY, WAS I WRONG! THERE WAS A GREEN FILM COVERING THE CLEAR GLASS, PARTS OF THE FILM WAS ALREADY PEELING OFF AFTER OPENING THE ITEM. VERY CHEAP... ACTUALLY, THE CHEAPEST I SEEN IN A LONG TIME. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I am definitely obsessed with all kinds of small things and details which make my life easier and better. A candle by the workspace is definitely one of them.
Ordered 2 items but got told that 1 item was not available so told them to cancel whole order.
Told that I should refuse the order at the door as it has already shipped; UPS turned up and I duly rejected the order. To date I have not had a refund.
Is this a scam site. Wish I had checked Trustpilot prior to engagement. Stay well away !! Countless emails and still no money back.
The service I received was horrendous! I placed an order in January and didn't receive it by February 2nd as promised. I allowed a few extra days only to be told it was returned 'Return to Sender'
They had not contacted me to advise the order had come back to them or refunded the monies to my card. The onus was entirely on me to chase up something I had paid for in good faith. I am disgusted at the poor customer service.
If this is an example of the emphasis they place on treating their customer's as a priority then I am not willing to support this company by buying their product!

The option of personalizing. Unfortunately, they don't have an advanced enough website or customer service group to be able to honor promotional deals and deal with issues.

I don't know which number you are trying to reach them. This one is the one I called 877-803-6890 twice today and both case someone at least answer. They don't fix the situation but did answer. Also have with you order number, your personal information like address, name, phone. Good luck

I placed mine the same day and received it 10 days later, but FEDEX was not consistent about updates so I never knew when it was to arrive.
